In the current food nutrition market, there are numerous nutrition tracker applications that are striving the users to take steps towards a healthy lifestyle. Well, to make it seamless as possible, FoodVisor has built a mobile app, embedding deep learning in the system.
The company launched its mobile application one year ago and in a short time, it has gained 1.8 Million application downloads. The application is available on iOS and Android. FoodVisor is available in four languages: English, French, Spanish, and German.
What does the company exactly do?
France based company uses deep learning to track the lifestyle of the users. One can capture the photo of the food via the app and with the help of smart technology, it gives out food data. The food data include the identification of the type of food and imprints nutrition facts such as Proteins, Carbs, Fats, and Fibers.
One can also log in to the physical activities and keep track of calories burned during it. It also has a health tracker with one which can track the progress of goals.
It also offers a premium plan that provides the user with a registered dietician with one they can chat with. Along with it, there are various diet programs segregated according to health goals. The subscription plan costs $5 to $10/month.
FoodVisor executive statement
“We’ve spent a little over two years doing research and development before we launched the app in 2018 in France,” co-founder and CMO Aurore Tran told Tech Crunch.
Till now, the four years old company has raised $1.5 Million. “We have adjusted our product, we’ve enriched our database to better target the American market,” Tran said.
